Product Design and Test Technical Lead

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Conduct annual product portfolio review with the VAM/VARs to ensure that certification requirements are maintained. Note any exceptions such as software or hardware changes and reissue certifications as needed.
2. Gather test data from multiple testing activities and roll it up into comprehensive reports.
3. Investigate field issues.  Define problems and try to reproduce issues.
4. Attend CCB meetings on bug reports and ensure identified anomalies are covered in test plans.
5. Athena general ISU field, Beta and Product Testing.
6. Write test plans, procedures and reports.
7. Set-up and Coordinate Beta testing prior to formal release.
8. Set-up and coordinate Internal Iridium User testing for hardware and software releases.
9. Write high level test plans for hardware and software releases.
10. Review test plans and procedures from Boeing, CCL and other subcontracted development vendors.
11. Develop Iridium test plans and maintain test procedures.
12. Execute test plans and procedure for product releases (HW or SW).
13. Develop use case testing scenarios based on product expected use and harsh use and test units beyond the specified realm for possible faults or marginal operation.

This position requires travel. 

Requirements:

1. BS in Engineering
2. Five or more years experience testing and operating radio based electronic equipment.
3. Excellent speaking and writing skills.
4. Knowledge of a wide variety of test equipment
5. Demonstrated ability to work independently.
6. Hardware or Embedded Software design eperience desired.
